  1. How long is my CUniq GO valid for?
    CUniq GO SIM card is valid for 180 days from the date of purchase. If the SIM card has not been activated for use of data service prior to its validity period expired, it will be automatically invalidated. Once the SIM card is activated, the validity period is 180 days. The 180-day SIM card validity period can be recalculated and extended after purchasing new Data Packs. The fixed validity period of the Data Pack is 180 days, which starts from the date of successful purchase and expires after the expiry date.
  2. How to extend the validity period of the CUniq GO?
    During the CUniq GO validity period, you can further purchase a new Data Pack to extend the 180-day SIM card validity period.
  3. For new customers, how to purchase and activate the CUniq GO?
    You can purchase the CUniq GO through the CUniq Online Shop or MyCUniq APP. When purchasing the SIM card, you can choose to use either a “physical SIM” or an “eSIM”, and then select your destination and number of days of use according to your needs.
    After purchasing the CUniq GO, please insert the physical SIM card into your mobile phone or scan the QR code to install the eSIM. When arriving at the destination, you can simply turn on the mobile phone and data roaming function to activate the service online automatically.
  4. How to purchase new Data Packs after I have purchased CUniq GO?
    Method 1: Add new purchase through the website
    Through this web page, you can select “Purchase for Existing CUniq GO Customers” and follow the instructions to enter the first 19 digits of the number (ICCID) shown on the back of your SIM card, and then select the number of days of Data Packs you need.
    Method 2: Add new purchase through self-service
    You can log in to the CUniq Online Shop or MyCUniq APP, and select “Add” button on the self-service page to purchase the number of days of Data Packs you need.
  5. How much data can be used through the CUniq GO for 1 day?
    CUniq GO SIM card is charged on a 1-day basis and the daily Data Pack is automatically activated when you connect to the Internet and is valid until Hong Kong time 23:59 on the same day. The daily Data Pack contains 1GB of high-speed Internet access, and once your daily data usage reaches 1GB “Fair Usage Level”, you could still access to mobile data service while the data transmission speed would be controlled at 512kbps.
  6. How is “1 day” defined for the Data Pack?
    The Data Pack is purchased and used on a 1-day basis (Hong Kong time 0:00 - 23:59). Once you purchase the Data Pack, arrive at your destination, turn on your mobile phone or device and connect to the Internet via your CUniq GO SIM card (regardless of the time of the day), the Data Pack will be activated and is valid until Hong Kong time 23:59 on the day of purchase. The activation and expiration dates of the Data Pack are calculated according to Hong Kong time.
  7. What mobile devices can I use with CUniq GO?
    The Nano, Micro and Mini-SIM sizes are all combined as one CUniq GO SIM card. It is compatible with most popular and new smartphones. Please note that CUniq GO may not be used with all brands of portable WiFi devices.
  8. Does CUniq GO support Tethering (mobile WiFi hotspot)?
    CUniq GO supports Tethering (mobile WiFi hotspot) function for sharing data with other mobile devices. Please note the “Fair Usage Level” of CUniq GO is 1GB, and once your daily data usage reaches 1GB “Fair Usage Level”, you could still access to mobile data service while the data transmission speed will be controlled at 512kbps. Besides, CUniq GO does not support Peer-to-Peer services and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) functions (including BitTorrent etc.).
  9. Can I make voice calls by CUniq GO?
    CUniq GO is a pure Data Card, which does not support voice call roaming or SMS function, but customers can receive the reminder SMS sent by CUHK.
  10. What should I do if my phone indicates there is no SIM card?
    The CUniq GO SIM card is a 3-in-1 card. If you take the SIM card from the cardboard with too much force or improperly, it may be damaged. If your phone indicates there is no SIM card after inserting the card, please follow the steps below:
    1. Re-insert the SIM card and restart the phone.
    2. Insert the SIM card into another mobile device to test if the problem still exists.
    3. If it still fails to be detected, the SIM card might be damaged, please contact customer service for further help.
  11. What should I do if my phone indicates there is no service?
    No service means the mobile phone indicates “No service” after inserting the SIM card (not “No SIM card”. “No SIM card” means that the phone does not physically detect a SIM card; and “No service” means that there is a SIM card but the phone cannot connect to the network), please follow the steps below:
    1. Make sure you have turned on the data function and data roaming(setting method) and the SIM card is within its validity period. You can try to restart the phone outdoor or near the window to check if you can successfully connect to the network.
    2. If you cannot connect to the network automatically, please select the manual network selection in your phone, and choose the suitable operator in the network selection interface (operator list for reference);
    3. For the manual network selection, it may show “disabled” after the network name, or “network registration failed” after the selection. This situation may appear when your phone fails to connect to the network for some reason, then activated the memory mode automatically and marked the network as disabled. Please wait for a few minutes and try again.
    4. If you still get no service after using the above methods, including changing locations or mobile phones, please contact customer service for further help.

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the “CUniq GO” (“Products') of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited (“CUHK” or “Company”)
  1. The Product provides various choices of data pack with combination of data services (“Data Pack”) in different countries and regions (“Coverage Regions”). The latest Coverage Regions please refer to www.cuniq.com/hk/cuniqgo .
  2. The Product does not support voice, SMS (except for SMS notification sent by our system), video call and MMS services.
  3. The Product SIM card must be activated before the latest activation date (subject to the date shown on the SIM card label). If the SIM card has not been activated before the expiration of the latest activation date, it will be also automatically invalidated and any unused Data Packs will also be forfeited. The Company will not replace or refund any expired SIM card.
  4. The Product SIM card can be activated in any Coverage Regions. Once the Product SIM card is inserted into mobile phone and network signals are received, the SIM card will be automatically activated and start to count 180 days which is the validity period of the SIM card. During the validity period, customer can further purchase a new Data Pack under the designated SIM card, then the validity period of the SIM card will be extended to another 180 days upon the date of new purchase. Please visit Company’s website for details.
  5. The validity period of each Data Pack is 180 days (“Fixed Validity Period”). For the Data Pack purchased before activation of the SIM card, the Fixed Validity Period is calculated from the date of initial activation of SIM card. For the Data Pack purchased after activation of the SIM card, the Fixed Validity Period is calculated from the date of purchase of such Data Pack. Customers have to use the data service within the Fixed Validity Period under each Data Pack, otherwise the expired Data Pack will be automatically invalidated and the remaining unused data will also be forfeited. Even if the validity period of the Product SIM card is extended, the Fixed Validity Period of each Data Pack will not be extended.
  6. The Data Pack is topped up and activated by each single day. One day of Data Pack is activated when customer is located in the region where the Data Pack is applicable and internet is connected, and the validity counts from its activation date (whenever it is activated) to cut-off time 23:59 of that day. The activation and expiry date of the Data Pack is based on Hong Kong time zone.
  7. Once the Product’s daily data usage reaches 1GB which is the designated “Fair Usage Level” of the Product, customer could still get access to mobile data service, but the data transmission (upload/download) speed will be controlled at 512kbps.
  8. The actual transmission speed of mobile data services will be affected by various factors such as the network traffic, mobile phone/mobile device’s hardware, software and other factors.
  9. Product’s mobile data service does not support Peer-to-Peer service and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) functions (including BitTorrent etc.). If any use of the data service is in contravention of this clause, the Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel the data service of customer’s Product immediately without prior notice.
  10. Customers are required to select the designated roaming network operator(s) in respective Coverage Regions to use the data services. The roaming service scope may be changed subject to various circumstances such as network coverage, system update and maintenance of the cooperative network operator(s). Designated roaming network operator(s) may change from time to time, and the updated information announced on website www.cuniq.com/hk/cuniqgo shall prevail.
  11. If customers purchase more than one Data Pack for the same Product SIM card and certain service regions are overlapped, customers agree that the application sequence of the multiple Data Packs shall follow the principles and specifications set by CUHK:
    1. When multiple Data Packs are purchased and their expiry dates are different, then the Data Pack with earlier expiry date will be activated prior to the one with later expiry date.
    2. When multiple Data Packs are purchased and their expiry dates and usage days are the same, then the Data Pack with lesser shared regions will be activated prior to the one with more shared regions.
  12. All data usage time and amount are calculated based on the system records of CUHK. In case of any disputes, the records of CUHK shall prevail.
  13. Quality:CUHK does not guarantee that the Products or the network will always function without disruptions, delay or errors. A number of factors may affect the quality of communications and use of the Products (depending on the region of Product used) or network condition, including but not limited to: network, firewall, network service provider, public internet and power supply of the device of the relevant region. CUHK takes no responsibility for any disruption, interruption or delay of service caused by any accident, failure or deficiency of any of the afore-mentioned items or any other circumstances which are beyond the control of the Company.
  14. Product changes:CUHK reserves the right to change the Product features from time to time, and will continuously improve the Product and/or its technical functions in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  15. Cessation of Product or Data Pack sale: If CUHK decides to cease offering the Product or any of the Data Packs, CUHK will notify customers in the manner that it considers reasonable thirty (30) days before the cessation of relevant product or service.
  16. Suspension, technical improvement and maintenance: CUHK has the right to perform necessary maintenance or upgrade for its Product, related facilities or network, or temporarily suspend the service or restrict customers’ use of the whole or part of the Products or network in order to enable the continued use of the Product or relevant infrastructure by customers, until the maintenance and/or upgrade is completed. Customers are not entitled to claim damages for the aforementioned suspension or restriction of service.
  17. Mobile data service is for personal and private use only and cannot be used for any commercial purpose. If CUHK reasonably believes that the Product has been or may be used for fraudulent activity, or for any activity in violation of any laws or regulations applicable in Hong Kong or in the roaming regions, or used in improper manner, or for inappropriate or commercial purposes, CUHK has the right to terminate the service immediately without prior notice and no refund of the paid amount or transfer of account balance will be made.
  18. Please retain the outer part of the Product SIM card for purposes of enquiry and additional purchase of Data Packs.
  19. CUHK reserves the right to unilaterally revise charges of the Product. Such changes will be uploaded to CUHK’s website without further notice. Announcement of service charges increase will take effect 30 days after announcement is made on CUHK’s website, while service charges decrease will take effect immediately when the announcement is made. Customers are advised to visit CUHK’s website for checking any revision announcements.
  20. CUHK reserves the right to unilaterally amend the user’s guide and the terms and conditions applicable to the Product at any time on CUHK’s website, and the amendment will take effect immediately without further notice to the customers. Customers are advised to check the relevant amendment on CUHK’s website.
  21. The terms and conditions herein shall supersede all the statements and undertakings made verbally or in writing by any staff or authorized agents of CUHK.
  22. CUHK has the right to transfer and/or assign all or any part of the rights and obligations of provision of the Product service to any other parties.
  23. If any terms and conditions herein is determined to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be automatically severed and deleted. These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
  24. China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited reserves its right of final interpretation.
eSIM service (“Service”) is provided by China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited (“CUHK”). By applying for this Service, customer agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions:
  1. eSIM is a digital SIM card which allows Customer to enjoy mobile services without using a physical SIM. For all 4G and 5G monthly service plans (except those SIM card service numbers starting with 89860), customer can choose eSIM or physical SIM when opening an account. Customer can also choose eSIM or physical SIM when purchasing some designated prepaid card products. However, for designated non-rechargeable prepaid card products, it is not allowed to switch to the other after customer making the first selection upon purchase. eSIM Service is subject to the " General Service Terms and Conditions (Applicable to all SIM Card Users)" and/or "Special Terms and Conditions (Applicable to all Prepaid SIM Card Users)" (hereinafter referred to as "General Terms of Service ").
  2. Customer must ensure that the smart device has connected to internet network (WIFI or mobile data) before the eSIM Service can be downloaded for use.
  3. eSIM Service is immediately activated upon successful download of the eSIM Service and log into the network in Hong Kong or the network of designated area where service is applicable.
  4. eSIM Service only supports designated models of smart device, and the designated smart device must operate iOS 12.1 or the latest version of operating system.
  5. eSIM Service can only be paired with one designated smart device at a time. Once customer downloads the eSIM, it will be automatically paired with the smart device for which the Service was downloaded. If customer wants to switch to another designated smart device to use the eSIM Service, the customer is required to re-apply for a new eSIM and re-activate the eSIM Service according to the corresponding User Guide. The eSIM Service on the previous smart device that the Service was activated will be automatically terminated immediately. Customer is required to delete the eSIM on the previous smart device that the Service was activated. The mobile phone service number will remain unchanged after the customer successfully re-applies for the eSIM Service. If the prepaid card held by customer provides local telecommunication services and the real-name registration has not been completed, the customer must complete real-name registration before re-applying for eSIM.
  6. CUHK supports all 4G and 5G postpaid monthly service plans (except those SIM card service numbers starting with 89860) and some designated rechargeable prepaid card products to switch from eSIM to physical SIM or from physical SIM to eSIM. Customer is required to visit our shops in person to apply for the change. The mobile phone service number will remain unchanged after customer has successfully switched to an eSIM or a physical SIM. If the prepaid card held by customer provides local telecommunication services and the real-name registration has not been completed, the customer must complete real-name registration before applying for switching to an eSIM or a physical SIM.
  7. If customer applies for switching of eSIM / physical SIM, CUHK reserves the right to charge customer for switching the eSIM / physical SIM according to the prevailing standard fee for the switching service.
  8. Once the eSIM Service is purchased, no cancellation or refund will be accepted. As the mobile service number for eSIM Service of prepaid card is randomly assigned, customer cannot select, withdraw or request to change the assigned mobile service number. Unless otherwise stipulated in these terms and conditions, after the eSIM Service is terminated, customer cannot retain or continue to use the originally assigned mobile service number.
  9. Customer understands and agrees that the provision and quality of the eSIM Service depends on the technology and performance of the data network and the eSIM Service may also be affected by other factors, including but not limited to the setting of the smart device or network firewall, the stability and confidentiality of the data network used by customer, and the impact of amendments to the relevant laws and regulations etc. Therefore, CUHK will have the final decision on the provision of the Service and the methods and specifications provided.
  10. eSIM Service provides completely the same mobile services and functions as physical SIM cards. Upon customer purchases the eSIM Service, it means that customer has read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions of eSIM Service and the General Terms of Service and agree to be bound by them. For details of the General Terms of Service, please visit https://www.cuniq.com/global/general/TNC (Select “General Service Terms and Conditions (Applicable to all SIM Card Users)" and “Special Terms and Conditions (Applicable to all Prepaid SIM Card Users)”). In the event of any conflict between the terms and conditions of eSIM Service and the General Terms of Service, the terms and conditions of eSIM Service shall prevail.
  11. CUHK reserves the right to terminate this eSIM Service or amend the terms and conditions of eSIM Service at any time without prior notice. In case of any dispute, CUHK reserves the right of final interpretation.
  12. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.

  9. Can I make voice calls by CUniq GO?

    CUniq GO is a pure Data Card, which does not support voice call roaming or SMS function, but customers can receive the reminder SMS sent by CUHK.
  10. What should I do if my phone indicates there is no SIM card?

    The CUniq GO SIM card is a 3-in-1 card. If you take the SIM card from the cardboard with too much force or improperly, it may be damaged. If your phone indicates there is no SIM card after inserting the card, please follow the steps below:

    1. Re-insert the SIM card and restart the phone.
    2. Insert the SIM card into another mobile device to test if the problem still exists.
    3. If it still fails to be detected, the SIM card might be damaged, please contact customer service for further help.
  11. What should I do if my phone indicates there is no service?

    No service means the mobile phone indicates “No service” after inserting the SIM card (not “No SIM card”. “No SIM card” means that the phone does not physically detect a SIM card; and “No service” means that there is a SIM card but the phone cannot connect to the network), please follow the steps below:

    1. Make sure you have turned on the data function and data roaming(setting method) and the SIM card is within its validity period. You can try to restart the phone outdoor or near the window to check if you can successfully connect to the network.
    2. If you cannot connect to the network automatically, please select the manual network selection in your phone, and choose the suitable operator in the network selection interface(operator list for reference);
    3. For the manual network selection, it may show “disabled” after the network name, or “network registration failed” after the selection. This situation may appear when your phone fails to connect to the network for some reason, then activated the memory mode automatically and marked the network as disabled. Please wait for a few minutes and try again.
    4. If you still get no service after using the above methods, including changing locations or mobile phones, please contact customer service for further help.

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the “CUniq GO” (“Products') of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited (“CUHK” or “Company”):
  1. The Product provides various choices of data pack with combination of data services (“Data Pack”) in different countries and regions (“Coverage Regions”). The latest Coverage Regions please refer to www.cuniq.com/hk/cuniqgo.
  2. The Product does not support voice, SMS (except for SMS notification sent by our system), video call and MMS services.
  3. The Product SIM card must be activated before the latest activation date (subject to the date shown on the SIM card label). If the SIM card has not been activated before the expiration of the latest activation date, it will be also automatically invalidated and any unused Data Packs will also be forfeited. The Company will not replace or refund any expired SIM card.
  4. The Product SIM card can be activated in any Coverage Regions. Once the Product SIM card is inserted into mobile phone and network signals are received, the SIM card will be automatically activated and start to count 180 days which is the validity period of the SIM card. During the validity period, customer can further purchase a new Data Pack under the designated SIM card, then the validity period of the SIM card will be extended to another 180 days upon the date of new purchase.   5. The validity period of each Data Pack is 180 days (“Fixed Validity Period”). For the Data Pack purchased before activation of the SIM card, the Fixed Validity Period is calculated from the date of initial activation of SIM card. For the Data Pack purchased after activation of the SIM card, the Fixed Validity Period is calculated from the date of purchase of such Data Pack. Customers have to use the data service within the Fixed Validity Period under each Data Pack, otherwise the expired Data Pack will be automatically invalidated and the remaining unused data will also be forfeited. Even if the validity period of the Product SIM card is extended, the Fixed Validity Period of each Data Pack will not be extended.
  6. The Data Pack is topped up and activated by each single day. One day of Data Pack is activated when customer is located in the region where the Data Pack is applicable and internet is connected, and the validity counts from its activation date (whenever it is activated) to cut-off time 23:59 of that day. The activation and expiry date of the Data Pack is based on Hong Kong time zone.
  7. Once the Product’s daily data usage reaches 1GB which is the designated “Fair Usage Level” of the Product, customer could still get access to mobile data service, but the data transmission (upload/download) speed will be controlled at 512kbps.
  8. The actual transmission speed of mobile data services will be affected by various factors such as the network traffic, mobile phone/mobile device’s hardware, software and other factors.
  9. Product’s mobile data service does not support Peer-to-Peer service and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) functions (including BitTorrent etc.). If any use of the data service is in contravention of this clause, the Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel the data service of customer’s Product immediately without prior notice.
  10. Customers are required to select the designated roaming network operator(s) in respective Coverage Regions to use the data services. The roaming service scope may be changed subject to various circumstances such as network coverage, system update and maintenance of the cooperative network operator(s). Designated roaming network operator(s) may change from time to time, and the updated information announced on website www.cuniq.com/hk/cuniqgo shall prevail.
  11. If customers purchase more than one Data Pack for the same Product SIM card and certain service regions are overlapped, customers agree that the application sequence of the multiple Data Packs shall follow the principles and specifications set by CUHK:
    1. When multiple Data Packs are purchased and their expiry dates are different, then the Data Pack with earlier expiry date will be activated prior to the one with later expiry date.
    2. When multiple Data Packs are purchased and their expiry dates and usage days are the same, then the Data Pack with lesser shared regions will be activated prior to the one with more shared regions.
  12. All data usage time and amount are calculated based on the system records of CUHK. In case of any disputes, the records of CUHK shall prevail.
  13. Quality:CUHK does not guarantee that the Products or the network will always function without disruptions, delay or errors. A number of factors may affect the quality of communications and use of the Products (depending on the region of Product used) or network condition, including but not limited to: network, firewall, network service provider, public internet and power supply of the device of the relevant region. CUHK takes no responsibility for any disruption, interruption or delay of service caused by any accident, failure or deficiency of any of the afore-mentioned items or any other circumstances which are beyond the control of the Company.
  14. Product changes:CUHK reserves the right to change the Product features from time to time, and will continuously improve the Product and/or its technical functions in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  15. Cessation of Product or Data Pack sale: If CUHK decides to cease offering the Product or any of the Data Packs, CUHK will notify customers in the manner that it considers reasonable thirty (30) days before the cessation of relevant product or service.
  16. Suspension, technical improvement and maintenance: CUHK has the right to perform necessary maintenance or upgrade for its Product, related facilities or network, or temporarily suspend the service or restrict customers’ use of the whole or part of the Products or network in order to enable the continued use of the Product or relevant infrastructure by customers, until the maintenance and/or upgrade is completed. Customers are not entitled to claim damages for the aforementioned suspension or restriction of service.
  17. Mobile data service is for personal and private use only and cannot be used for any commercial purpose. If CUHK reasonably believes that the Product has been or may be used for fraudulent activity, or for any activity in violation of any laws or regulations applicable in Hong Kong or in the roaming regions, or used in improper manner, or for inappropriate or commercial purposes, CUHK has the right to terminate the service immediately without prior notice and no refund of the paid amount or transfer of account balance will be made.
  18. Please retain the outer part of the Product SIM card for purposes of enquiry and additional purchase of Data Packs.
  19. CUHK reserves the right to unilaterally revise charges of the Product. Such changes will be uploaded to CUHK’s website without further notice. Announcement of service charges increase will take effect 30 days after announcement is made on CUHK’s website, while service charges decrease will take effect immediately when the announcement is made. Customers are advised to visit CUHK’s website for checking any revision announcements.
  20. CUHK reserves the right to unilaterally amend the user’s guide and the terms and conditions applicable to the Product at any time on CUHK’s website, and the amendment will take effect immediately without further notice to the customers. Customers are advised to check the relevant amendment on CUHK’s website.
  21. The terms and conditions herein shall supersede all the statements and undertakings made verbally or in writing by any staff or authorized agents of CUHK.
  22. CUHK has the right to transfer and/or assign all or any part of the rights and obligations of provision of the Product service to any other parties.
  23. If any terms and conditions herein is determined to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be automatically severed and deleted. These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
  24. China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited reserves its right of final interpretation.
eSIM service (“Service”) is provided by China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited (“CUHK”). By applying for this Service, customer agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions: 
  1. eSIM is a digital SIM card which allows Customer to enjoy mobile services without using a physical SIM. For all 4G and 5G monthly service plans (except those SIM card service numbers starting with 89860), customer can choose eSIM or physical SIM when opening an account. Customer can also choose eSIM or physical SIM when purchasing some designated prepaid card products. However, for designated non-rechargeable prepaid card products, it is not allowed to switch to the other after customer making the first selection upon purchase. eSIM Service is subject to the " General Service Terms and Conditions (Applicable to all SIM Card Users)" and/or "Special Terms and Conditions (Applicable to all Prepaid SIM Card Users)" (hereinafter referred to as "General Terms of Service ").
  2. Customer must ensure that the smart device has connected to internet network (WIFI or mobile data) before the eSIM Service can be downloaded for use.
  3. eSIM Service is immediately activated upon successful download of the eSIM Service and log into the network in Hong Kong or the network of designated area where service is applicable.
  4. eSIM Service only supports designated models of smart device, and the designated smart device must operate iOS 12.1 or the latest version of operating system.
  5. eSIM Service can only be paired with one designated smart device at a time. Once customer downloads the eSIM, it will be automatically paired with the smart device for which the Service was downloaded. If customer wants to switch to another designated smart device to use the eSIM Service, the customer is required to re-apply for a new eSIM and re-activate the eSIM Service according to the corresponding User Guide. The eSIM Service on the previous smart device that the Service was activated will be automatically terminated immediately. Customer is required to delete the eSIM on the previous smart device that the Service was activated. The mobile phone service number will remain unchanged after the customer successfully re-applies for the eSIM Service. If the prepaid card held by customer provides local telecommunication services and the real-name registration has not been completed, the customer must complete real-name registration before re-applying for eSIM.
  6. CUHK supports all 4G and 5G postpaid monthly service plans (except those SIM card service numbers starting with 89860) and some designated rechargeable prepaid card products to switch from eSIM to physical SIM or from physical SIM to eSIM. Customer is required to visit our shops in person to apply for the change. The mobile phone service number will remain unchanged after customer has successfully switched to an eSIM or a physical SIM. If the prepaid card held by customer provides local telecommunication services and the real-name registration has not been completed, the customer must complete real-name registration before applying for switching to an eSIM or a physical SIM.
  7. If customer applies for switching of eSIM / physical SIM, CUHK reserves the right to charge customer for switching the eSIM / physical SIM according to the prevailing standard fee for the switching service.
  8. 8. Once the eSIM Service is purchased, no cancellation or refund will be accepted. As the mobile service number for eSIM Service of prepaid card is randomly assigned, customer cannot select, withdraw or request to change the assigned mobile service number. Unless otherwise stipulated in these terms and conditions, after the eSIM Service is terminated, customer cannot retain or continue to use the originally assigned mobile service number.
  9. Customer understands and agrees that the provision and quality of the eSIM Service depends on the technology and performance of the data network and the eSIM Service may also be affected by other factors, including but not limited to the setting of the smart device or network firewall, the stability and confidentiality of the data network used by customer, and the impact of amendments to the relevant laws and regulations etc. Therefore, CUHK will have the final decision on the provision of the Service and the methods and specifications provided.
  10. eSIM Service provides completely the same mobile services and functions as physical SIM cards. Upon customer purchases the eSIM Service, it means that customer has read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions of eSIM Service and the General Terms of Service and agree to be bound by them. For details of the General Terms of Service, please visithttps://www.cuniq.com/global/general/TNC(Select “General Service Terms and Conditions(Applicable to all SIM Card Users)" and “Special Terms and Conditions (Applicable to all Prepaid SIM Card Users)”). In the event of any conflict between the terms and conditions of eSIM Service and the General Terms of Service, the terms and conditions of eSIM Service shall prevail.
  11. CUHK reserves the right to terminate this eSIM Service or amend the terms and conditions of eSIM Service at any time without prior notice. In case of any dispute, CUHK reserves the right of final interpretation.
  12. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
