4G Local Data Hassle-free Plan (hereinafter referred to as “the Service Plan”) of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited (hereinafter referred to as “China Unicom Hong Kong” or “Company”) is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Applicable to 4G Local Data Hassle-free Plan with 5GB basic Hong Kong Local Data:
- ①Unless otherwise specified, the airtime usage entitlement of the monthly plan applies to Hong Kong local airtime only. When customer calling to non Hong Kong number, the plan's local basic airtime will be reduced and the relevant IDD charge will be charged.
- ②Network supports highest data transmission speed at 42Mbps. Once your monthly data usage reaches “Fair Usage Level” of 5GB, the maximum upload/download speed for thereafter data access is controlled at 384kbps, and tethering and Peer-to-Peer services would not be available. Please refer to Fair Usage Policy of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited for more information.
- ③To apply for extra prescribed speed Hong Kong data (up to 42Mbps): please dial [*118*298# CALL], extra data charge is $15/1GB; The newly acquired extra data can be used till the last day of the calendar month in which it is successfully applied and acquired, and multiple applications are accepted.
- ④To apply for extra Mainland data (up to 42Mbps): please dial [*118*183# CALL] and the extra data charge is $50/1GB. The newly acquired extra data can be used till the last day of the calendar month in which it is successfully applied and acquired, and multiple applications are accepted.
- * Customer is required to pay $18 monthly Mobile Service License & Administration Fees.
- # Special Monthly Fee has taken into account the designated monthly service fee rebate within fixed contract term. Upon expiry of fixed contract term, the service fee rebate will be terminated, and standard monthly fee will be restored.
- Applicable to 4G Local Data Hassle-free Plan with 10GB basic Hong Kong Local Data :
- ①Unless otherwise specified, the airtime usage entitlement of the monthly plan applies to Hong Kong local airtime only. When customer calling to non Hong Kong number, the plan's local basic airtime will be reduced and the relevant IDD charge will be charged.
- ②Once your monthly data usage reaches “Fair Usage Level”, the maximum upload/download speed for thereafter data access is controlled at 384kbps, and tethering and Peer-to-Peer services would not be available. This is 4G SIM Only Local Monthly Plan.

The actual data transmission speed may be affected by various factors such as the relative position between the user and the transmitting station, server's capacity, Internet traffic conditions, number of users, the handset's highest network supporting speed, hardware, software and other conditions which may arise etc., and may be difference from the transmission speed supported by the network.

Data service is subject to the Fair Usage Policy of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operations Limited.

When customer is located in an area in Hong Kong but outside 4G coverage, China Unicom Hong Kong will provide service to customer via 3G/2G network.

Data service does not support video call, multimedia messaging (MMS) and Blackberry services.

Service Plan

Monthly fee and monthly Mobile Service License and Administration fee for the first month is charged pro rata daily, but save and except the monthly charge for value-added services.

Unless otherwise specified, the voice airtime under the Service Plan is calculated on a per minute basis. Any airtime usage of less than one minute will be counted as one minute. The minimum data charging unit is 1KB. Usage under 1KB will be rounded up to the nearest 1KB. Monthly cumulative data usage less than 1 Mbyte will be counted as 1 Mbyte.

Voice and data roaming of Hong Kong & Mainland are activated by default. A deposit of $300 is payable for the registration of international roaming and IDD services. Such deposit would be waived if the monthly fee payment of customer's service plan is settled by VISA/MasterCard direct debit. The charges or rates for international roaming and IDD services are subject to change from time to time without prior notice. During fixed contract term, upon happening of any of the following circumstances, any gifts and discounts, service fee rebate etc. which were granted as a result of registration for the use of credit card direct debit payment will be terminated and canceled immediately. In addition, the Company shall be entitled to claim against the customer for the total value of the gift, the one-off discount, and those service fee rebates in full etc. already received by the customer:

Customer cancels the credit card direct debit payment during the fixed contract term; or
-
For any reason whatsoever, the automatic transfer of payment from the credit card account registered by the customer to China Unicom Hong Kong fails during the fixed contract term and the customer fails to provide another valid credit card account for direct debit payment within a reasonable time.

During fixed contract term, customers shall pay to China Unicom Hong Kong liquidated damages (that is, the total sum of monthly fee of Service Plan at standard rate for the remaining unexpired term of the contract and $300 being administration fee for early termination of the contract) if any of the following circumstances happened:

If the customer changes the mobile number / name of registered customer; or

If the customer changes to another service plan with a monthly fee lower than the original service plan or switches to 2G/3G service plans; or
-
If the Service Plan is terminated for whatever reason.
